Gunite or Shotcrete Pools
Gunite or shotcrete is simply concrete that is sprayed (instead of poured) as the base of a swimming pool. Gunite is more of a sandy based concrete product, easier for builders to use on custom pools.

More About Gunite or Shotcrete
"Sprayed concrete can help avoid “seams” that you can experience when concrete is applied traditionally (poured). Gunite and Shotcrete are somewhat different in density and strength. Shotcrete is a superior product therefore more expensive."
