While You’re Swimming This Summer: Here’s How To Tell If A Renovation Project Is In Your Future This Fall

Summer is here in the north Dallas area which means you’re likely spending a lot of time in your backyard and pool area.

Summer is a time to make endless memories, especially in and around your pool area.

If you haven’t had to resurface or renovate your pool recently, though, you may find that those memories get tarnished a bit this year.

It’s perfectly normal to have some wear and tear on your pool, but there are things that you should keep an eye out this summer that may indicate a renovation project might be something to add to your list this fall.

1. Your Pool Is Getting Old

Like most physical features in and around your home, inground pool condition won’t be in perfect shape throughout its lifespan — especially true with heavy usage.

Over time, repairs and “quick fixes” can pile up and as the years go on, those fixes won’t be enough to keep up with its age.

2. Wear And Tear Is Going Beyond Wear And Tear

Beyond age, wear and tear will be noticeable with heavy usage – cracks, leaks, shifting features around your pool can make your pool unusable.

Overlooking when those “wear and tear” signs can lead them becoming bigger and bigger over time and eventually your pool can become unusable.

If you find yourself running into those larger issues, a renovation project is not far off.

3. You’re Tired Of The Same Old Look

If your pool is in good working condition, a pool renovation project is a good way to give it a refresh if you’re tired of the same old look.

The new backdrop of a renovated pool can be a great way to create a new setting for those future memories for years to come.

4. You Want To Add Some New Features To Your Pool

Pool renovation projects are also a great way to work in some new pool features (see some ideas here).

The options are virtually endless, but if you find yourself feeling like your pool could use an accent feature to really bring it to life, a renovation project could be a nice way to make your pool experience complete.

As mentioned above, your pool is a source for endless summertime memories and we hope you have a wonderful summer this year.

But, if you run into the items above, make sure to reach out to your local, trusted pool renovation expert and see how you can upgrade your pool experience this fall.
